Description Technical Specs Extended Information   The Solar Spa Cover is a passive solar swimming spa heating device made from two sheets of heavyweight U.V. resistant vinyl. The outer air chamber and central air chamber keep the Solar Sun Ring afloat and the two vinyl layers apart creating an insulating air pocket. The upper clear layer focuses the sunlight on the lower layer. The blue layer contains copper to help it absorbs about 50% of the sunlight and convert it to heat. The balance of the sunlight is allowed to pass through for deep water heating. The Solar Spa Cover Uses the same principles of the Solar Sun Rings adapted to the special needs of the spas. These spas have a much higher water temperatures combined with greater water velocity and turbulence. Spas with covers loose much of their costly heat overnight and regain very little during the day. At night the air trapped between the two sheets of vinyl acts as an insulating blanket to retain heat gained during the daylight. The contained air will also retain a great amount of heat supplied by your heater. Your spa will loose less temperature overnight and will heat up quicker, saving you money. The Solar Spa Cover is equipped with six magnets to improve clarity and decrease hardness of the water in your spa. Solar Spa Covers may be used on all chlorine or salt water systems spas whether inground or above ground. The high temperatures of the spa promote rapid evaporation of water that in turn also causes rapid cooling of your spa. The patented design of the Solar Spa Cover reduces evaporation aving you water and heat. The two layers of heavyweight vinyl also prevent much of the evaporation of your spa chemicals. When used consistently you will save on costly spa chemicals. Your spa requires some direct sunlight and uncovered time to stay healthy. The lightweight and ease of removal and installation of the Solar Spa Cover make uncovering your spa easy and convenient. The cover is built with three outer air chambers, inflate all three for spas from 94” to 102”. Inflate 2 chambers for spas from 81” to 93”. Inflate 1 chamber for spas from 68” to 80”.
